Summer Dress Series 3

Shirt - Lucky Brand (similar here)
Pants - Zara (similar here)
Shoes - Cotton On

Say hello to the comfiest outfit you ever did wear.
sometimes you want to look decent but feel even better, right? And for those summer nights that might have a little nip to them, this is for sure my go to. (ps. these shoes are my favorite right now! They give me a little height, which I am always wanting in this short 5'3" body of mine, and are so easy to walk in) I got lucky one shopping day and got everything I'm wearing in this outfit on sale, but check out the links above and maybe those will help you do your own sale searching for something similar to these lovely items!

cheers to summer clothes my friends!

Artsy

Hello again! Mr. Warner and I decided to be free spirited and take a little unplanned trip back home to Utah. It was seriously so great. And so needed. We saw all of our family that we love so much, and spent most of our time (like seriously 4 full days) walking through dreamy model homes that are way out of our budget, but then also finding the most perfect little layouts for our future (we are talking like near, near future) humble abode. It made me SO excited. I don't even think you understand how excited it got me. Realizing that our goal of buying a house is actually here.. and becoming more of a reality than ever. It made me so excited to be able to have a place to make our own. Having that trip, realizing what we need to do to buy that house at the end of this summer is just making me want to work as hard as I possibly can to be a part of our dream. It's so exciting you guys!! AHHH!

One of the other main reasons we went back was to go to Steve's best friends wedding. We both went to high school with the sweet couple and it was so much fun catching up with all of our friends and being a part of that special time in Brayden and Carly's lives. I soaked in as much cuddle time with our new niece Izzy as I could, and planned on taking way more pictures than I did. (oh, well). I did manage to pull out the camera when we went to the Arts Festival in Salt Lake and tried to document our time there. We watched my sweet sister dance, and had some yummy, yummy food. It was great. Steve hasn't been home for more than a few days during summer time in utah in like 5 years.. we forgot the amazing summer vibe that utah gives off. We sure did miss that place.

But now we are ready to kick our on a**'s and finish the summer strong! I'll make dinner for you all in our new kitchen (insert excited emoji here) Here is our trip in pictures:

Hello World!

We are alive! If any of you were wondering. We are most definitely alive and well. We are now in the blessed land of California that we love so much for the second summer in a row. I have such a love-hate relationship with these four, warm months out of the year. But surprisingly it is starting to turn into more of the "I'm loving this even though I have to knock on people's doors and get screamed and yelled at for no reason" kinda love. Really. As crazy and weird as it sounds. I love the summers that we have.

Our lives are so simple when we are away for these four months. Its funny because you would think that things would be more stressful, intense, whatever you want to call it (since we have one of the most uncommon jobs in the universe) and even though it is that way sometimes, it's the best. I don't really know how to explain it, and I'm probably making no sense. But the summers that we spend working crazy hours, being exhausted and starved by the end of the day, getting yelled at by complete strangers are so great. They are so great because we get to experience new things that we never would have, we get to go on all different kinds of adventures together, just Steve and I, that we never would have if we didn't sacrifice the things that we do with this job. We grow in ways that are not possible without doing what we do, and it's just great. I love it.

Sappy, cutesy part over. Want to know what we have really been up to lately? For those that really care, it is only three weeks into the summer and we have already had a roller coaster of fun and craziness. The "stories from the doors" are already piling up, and we have finally settled down for the next little while. (I know what you are thinking, "it took you 3 weeks to settles down?")

So we live in Antioch/Brentwood, Ca with about 10 other people from our office. The rest of our buddies are down south a little bit living in Fresno. (aka all of the wives/married friends that we have out here during the summer). We first lived in Fresno, and then a week later decided to move up north for area/knocking/didn't want to drive 4 hours + to work every day. It makes logical sense, but I had an emotional crazy moment because I had just met some of the most amazing ladies that I was going to get to spend the summer with, and was already seeing the light at the end of the long summer tunnel. So it was a rough move. But a needed and beneficial one to say the least. I created some of the most sweet, marvelous relationships that I will carry on forever. Those relationships that even if you don't see each other for months at a time, it doesn't matter cause then you just pick up and are chatter boxes the second you see each other again. Awesome friends like that. It's just all good.

Okay, now the sappy part is really over. I'll stop blabbering my feelings over here.

The best part about the move? We are only ONE hour away from San Francisco! Steve and I took a drive last weekend and explored on a small part of the city - aka the pier. It was beautiful, and I loved it. The drive itself isn't bad either which is a bonus. Maybe we are just used to the california driving so it doesn't phase us anymore. After a long week it was such a great break to just be with the two of us, exploring like we love to do. Our time together is the best.

I will stop writing now so that my novel doesn't bore you, but the pictures below give a pretty good explanation of how beautiful this place is that we live.

Much love peeps,

It's Just Different

I always get weird, nasty homesick feelings when my husband leaves for work. It's mostly just when he goes to sell though. Maybe it is because I know how bad it sucks, and how much I hate it so I just feel strange and sensitive (like I might just cry cause I miss him kinda sensitive) feelings. Who knows. It's hard to explain, but I have all of these emotions right now, cause he left to sell for california today. So now I'm writing about them. It helps :)

I think sometimes he knows when I am getting this way. Like getting ready to send him off and I don't love that he is going kinda thing. Last night he took me to get late night yogurtland cause he knew I liked my outfit and was craving sweet stuff. Even though he was already in his pajamas. He is the best. Really he is, and I don't know if I really share how amazing he is sometimes. Like to other people... And he has this awesome wave with his hair going on right now. I just have a really rad husband. I love him. And his hair.

Oh! And I went to this crazy sweet hair show last night with my sista haley. Like the kind of hair show where you think an animal might crawl out of these ladies heads. It was sweet. And a charity for an amazing cause too! Not to mention I got loads of free shampoo and conditioner samples. The sunflower head was by far my favorite. This is art here people. Pure talent. I would call it a successful time.

P.S. Wasn't the weather amazing yesterday. I ran outside and it made me feel good about myself. I can't wait for spring. OH! And happy "day of being married for a hear and a half!" Mr. Warner! Love it.

7.30.2013

On Friday, July 19th (The day that my sweet Steven Leland Warner started life on this earth), I drove to the far away land of Simi Valley to surprise my big 23 year old kid. I was literally shakin' in my boots as my partner and crime, Mal and I drove to the Holiday Inn Express. Then I wanted to pee my pants as we were hiding in the dark hotel room, Behind the beds, waiting for our men to come in the door after a long day of work. We ate some delicious food at a little joint right by their hotel, and then just cuddled. Fun, right? Our time together was short. (like 1 and 1/2 hours short). Us ladies may or may not have gotten emotional as we said good bye to our significant others, and then Mal and I were off and home at one in the morning that night. Wohoo for sporadic, last minute, crazy fun road trips.

It was so quick I only took one picture. This is Mr. Warner's birthday cake with bomb fire candles and the most delicious frosting you will ever taste in your life…

Yes, I know that this little shout out is a little late… but I wanted to make sure that the world knows again (This is pretty much a reminder post, because I already shoved a bunch of mushy gushy awesomeness on insta the day he was actually born) how happy, lucky, ecstatic, overjoyed, etc etc. I am that this man was born and is in my life for forever.

I am the literally the luckiest lady in this universe to have a man who is so hardworking, loving, patient, hilarious, caring, kind, sexy, admirable, spiritual, friendly, considerate, helpful, supportive, classy,  handsome, entertaining, strong, spectacular, the list goes on and on and on… to be my husband.

He is amazing at everything that he does, and never settles for less than his best. He would do anything to make me happy and sacrifices for me every day. I love you Steve. As high as the sky and as deep as the ocean.  You are my hero in so many different ways.

We are going to party all year long in celebration of you. Mark my words.

Sister time

Mr. Warner and I have been away from our families for a little over 2 months now. We love it here in California, and love that we have some of our family here with us, buuuutttt.... I am missin my sisters!!! Mckenna is flying here tomorrow night to spend about a week here with us, and I cannot wait... I am seriously so excited. I am excited to show her around town, go to the beach with her, have her knock with me and see what I do everyday... It is going to be a blast. If only the rest of the family could come with!!!

It's funny to think back to like three years ago, when I was about to leave high school, Ken was the annoying little sister who always stole my clothes and wouldn't clean the bathroom, etc. etc. And now I am like a giddy child (or adult) waiting in line to enter Disneyland or something. I CAN'T wait for here to get here. There will probably be an overload of instagram pictures, and of course a novel of how our time together went.

We love each other.

PS.. the summer is half way over... what the crap??? I'm realizing how fast these days are going by and it's freaking me out. Here is to taking advantage of every single second I have of this amazing opportunity!!! Catch ya on the flip side.

Stuck

I can't even count the number of times over the past two weeks that I grab my computer, sit down on the couch, planning to tell the world (or more realistically my mom and sisters - since they are about the only ones who read this thing) all about my crappy or awesome day, the things that we do out here in the "cooc", how awesome I felt for making a real dinner for Mr. Warner and I because normally in-n-out is our fancy for the late night meal.... on and on and on.

But that is the thing... I just sit there... ha and think about it. I'm stuck. I end up catching up on other lovely reads that I adore, and then it dawns on me that what I have to write about probably isn't that cool to other people. I got sucked into the epitome of the blogging world. You know, being worried about what others are going to think of what you write, how no one cares... etc.

Then this morning I realized that DUH Sariah.... You didn't start this thing to try and live up to the thoughts of others, you started this for YOU! To remember the events and journeys that you go through, to let your feelings out.. etc. I had to remind myself that this is like my glorified journal. For me. (Maybe those of you out there who can get something out of it too) And then I was able to sit down and gather my thoughts and remember what I want to say on this thing anyway.

So wanna know one awesome thing that husband and I did last weekend loved???? Well I wanna tell you.

I'm sure that I have mentioned before how Sunday's are literally the most blessed day in the entire week. Literally. We have the day all to ourselves. This past Sunday we treked to Newport Beach with some of the amazing people we are surrounded by out here and it was a blast. We walked, listened to the waves crash on this fun, rocky boardwalk, and loved our lives. Take a peek.

What a day.

I figured that this would be the best way to update fellow readers because I've been about the worst at updating this thing lately! I feel that insta attacks will show up regularly on here. I'm on spring break this week.. which is such a nice break. My days are consumed with work and figuring out what to do with myself because Mr. Warner is gone making the big bucks in bakersfield (try saying that one ten times fast???). I love him for doing it. But I love it more when we are together. Sunday at 4 pm can't come fast enough. I'm going to make myself go to the gym, and try not to eat chocolate covered peanuts.
