Hello World!

We are alive! If any of you were wondering. We are most definitely alive and well. We are now in the blessed land of California that we love so much for the second summer in a row. I have such a love-hate relationship with these four, warm months out of the year. But surprisingly it is starting to turn into more of the "I'm loving this even though I have to knock on people's doors and get screamed and yelled at for no reason" kinda love. Really. As crazy and weird as it sounds. I love the summers that we have.

Our lives are so simple when we are away for these four months. Its funny because you would think that things would be more stressful, intense, whatever you want to call it (since we have one of the most uncommon jobs in the universe) and even though it is that way sometimes, it's the best. I don't really know how to explain it, and I'm probably making no sense. But the summers that we spend working crazy hours, being exhausted and starved by the end of the day, getting yelled at by complete strangers are so great. They are so great because we get to experience new things that we never would have, we get to go on all different kinds of adventures together, just Steve and I, that we never would have if we didn't sacrifice the things that we do with this job. We grow in ways that are not possible without doing what we do, and it's just great. I love it.

Sappy, cutesy part over. Want to know what we have really been up to lately? For those that really care, it is only three weeks into the summer and we have already had a roller coaster of fun and craziness. The "stories from the doors" are already piling up, and we have finally settled down for the next little while. (I know what you are thinking, "it took you 3 weeks to settles down?")

So we live in Antioch/Brentwood, Ca with about 10 other people from our office. The rest of our buddies are down south a little bit living in Fresno. (aka all of the wives/married friends that we have out here during the summer). We first lived in Fresno, and then a week later decided to move up north for area/knocking/didn't want to drive 4 hours + to work every day. It makes logical sense, but I had an emotional crazy moment because I had just met some of the most amazing ladies that I was going to get to spend the summer with, and was already seeing the light at the end of the long summer tunnel. So it was a rough move. But a needed and beneficial one to say the least. I created some of the most sweet, marvelous relationships that I will carry on forever. Those relationships that even if you don't see each other for months at a time, it doesn't matter cause then you just pick up and are chatter boxes the second you see each other again. Awesome friends like that. It's just all good.

Okay, now the sappy part is really over. I'll stop blabbering my feelings over here.

The best part about the move? We are only ONE hour away from San Francisco! Steve and I took a drive last weekend and explored on a small part of the city - aka the pier. It was beautiful, and I loved it. The drive itself isn't bad either which is a bonus. Maybe we are just used to the california driving so it doesn't phase us anymore. After a long week it was such a great break to just be with the two of us, exploring like we love to do. Our time together is the best.

I will stop writing now so that my novel doesn't bore you, but the pictures below give a pretty good explanation of how beautiful this place is that we live.

Much love peeps,

It's Just Different

I always get weird, nasty homesick feelings when my husband leaves for work. It's mostly just when he goes to sell though. Maybe it is because I know how bad it sucks, and how much I hate it so I just feel strange and sensitive (like I might just cry cause I miss him kinda sensitive) feelings. Who knows. It's hard to explain, but I have all of these emotions right now, cause he left to sell for california today. So now I'm writing about them. It helps :)

I think sometimes he knows when I am getting this way. Like getting ready to send him off and I don't love that he is going kinda thing. Last night he took me to get late night yogurtland cause he knew I liked my outfit and was craving sweet stuff. Even though he was already in his pajamas. He is the best. Really he is, and I don't know if I really share how amazing he is sometimes. Like to other people... And he has this awesome wave with his hair going on right now. I just have a really rad husband. I love him. And his hair.

Oh! And I went to this crazy sweet hair show last night with my sista haley. Like the kind of hair show where you think an animal might crawl out of these ladies heads. It was sweet. And a charity for an amazing cause too! Not to mention I got loads of free shampoo and conditioner samples. The sunflower head was by far my favorite. This is art here people. Pure talent. I would call it a successful time.

P.S. Wasn't the weather amazing yesterday. I ran outside and it made me feel good about myself. I can't wait for spring. OH! And happy "day of being married for a hear and a half!" Mr. Warner! Love it.

This is funny.

I am currently sitting in bed, stuffing my face with the largo, grande-sized kettle corn from Cinemark. Literally, stuffing my face. Like where you are slumped down, face staring at the computer. There are crumbs all over my chest/stomach, and sheets {sorry husband}, hair in a ratted-i-just-woke-up kinda do. I am pretty sure they put some type of drug in this popcorn when we went to see the lego move yesterday (which was amazing. Go see it. I laughed a lot. and I didn't really think I would be in to that kind of thing). But whatever. I'll take it. Even though my stomach is kind of making weird noises now, the bag will probably be gone by the end of the evening.

Funny story though. So Steve and I watched our sweet niece, "Indie Warner" as she calls herself, this past week. We did all sorts of fun things like going to the grocery store, playing with walter the dog, taking two hour baths, etc. but one thing in particular Indie loved, was going to to her cousins house. When it was time to leave, she did NOT want to go. Full on tantrum, and then slapped me.. a few times. Any who, I got mad at her, did the whole little discipline thing, and that was that. Fast forward a couple hours to dinner with my sister. This is how the conversation went:

Me to sister: "So Indie had a little incident a little while ago"

Sister to indie: "Uh-Oh indie, what happened?"
Me to sister: "Indie got mad and hit me"
Indie: "It's okay though..." (In a "lets try to make things better" kinda voice)
Sister to Indie: "Indie! Why did you hit her?"
Indie: "It's a looong story.."

WHAT? "It's a long story"... since when does  a 3 year old even know how to apply that saying? We could not stop laughing. She thought it was hilarious too.

I just added in this beauty because seeing her swim around in her goggles and swim cap every morning, was probably the best ten minutes of my day.

Lately.. again

So I've noticed lately that whenever I feel the urge to start blogging again, I always go and read other peoples blogs. And if I am lucky, then I will right my own post. Well, tonight is one of those lucky nights. I know, they should happen more often, for my sake really, not that anyone reading this cares how often I post. ha. Really though.

The past 6 days Mr. Warner has been in California for work shenanigans, and whenever he is gone for long periods of time I always start getting obsessed with our wedding for someone reason. Like looking over our wedding pictures, watching our wedding videos over and over again... (Which I think I am going to post on here for people to see if they'd like... no need to feel obligated to watch anything, ya know :) ).

So I have been reflecting a lot lately, on life, on the past, the future, all that good stuff, and Steve and I are just so fortunate. I know that that seems like a really cliche, and common thing to hear on a newlywed, "just another blog", blog... but you know when you just feel so comfortable, and grateful for life? And everything that it brings you? Whether it is good, bad, difficult.. You just feel good. I love that feeling. It has been coming to me a lot lately and I hope it stays that way.

Another cool thing about my life? I went skiing for the first time EVER today! Like ever. I took a ski lesson with my sweet sis Mickell and then was shown up big time by my 6 and 8 hear old niece and nephew. It was awesome. And I am so sore. And grateful for Mark, our patient ski instructor. He did so good that he will probably have to survive another lesson with us here in the next few weeks.

I am really hoping that I get good at this fun new hobby. Steve snowboards, and we really need to get into something that will help us love winter. I mean if you live in Utah you have to learn how to love the snow and freezing cold somehow, right? yeah, well scraping ice off the car in the wee hours of the morning just isn't doin it for us. I'm excited for this. I guess I should throw this out there, anyone have any advice for a beginner skier? Like how to become good? I felt like I was on my butt a lot more than I should have been today.

Side note: I'm excited to see my husband tomorrow. I've missed him... and I'm excited for the next few months in the lives of the warner's. There is going to be a lot going on. So stay tuned.

Oh, and here are those videos I was talking about. Just because :)

Let's Do This

Woah.. I like don't even know where to begin. You know when you have been avoiding something for a really, really, really long time, because you kind of don't want to face that you have really lacked (sucked) in whatever area of life that may be? Well that is exactly where I have been stuck for like, 6 weeks now. Writing. Not just blogging, but journal writing, too. Maybe not even that.. I dunno, I guess I have just totally failed myself and keeping up on my thoughts, and doings over the past three months, and I hate it!

Does that even make sense? ha maybe not.

But I got to the point today where I remembered for a split second what I've been missing out on and I miss it. I miss having an outlet for my thoughts, feelings, all that fun stuff. (I feel like I go through this writing sickness like every 5 months... so just work with me here..)

Things are just changing around my eyes every single day.. in good ways though! I feel like life is just passing by so fast and sometimes I can't handle it.. ha

I'm just glad I have this good person (below) to keep me grounded when I need it.

Annnnddd... I think I'm just gonna leave this post at that.. to get over my temporary/weird/trying to figure my stuff out phase. But I definitely don't want to be a stranger to my own life anymore. So I think I'll stick around this place for a while again. I like it.

thoughts and blabber and fun stuff

This post is gonna be all over the place. Just a heads up.

So 2 weekends ago, life was so great. I'll talk about that first. Steve's parents came in to town on Friday evening. I spent that day having a little selfie time. gym, grocery shopping, a little home "stuff" shopping, etc. I needed it for me. (aka I didn't knock on doors).

We (padres, cait, lou, and kiddies) when to the glorious chick-fil-a for some dinner, and then waited for our working men to get home. The night was spent just hangin with the family. Saturday I went out and worked. Got a sale and then kept working. Steve was awesome and got two, and then we met up for some dinner at in-n-out. (duh). That night we just hung. again. Watched a movie, walked the streets of Victoria Gardens. Just loved our worry free night together. Sunday came with church in the morning, and then a lovely beach day to follow. Night was just spent hangin.. again. Gosh I love the summer.

I think that is one of the things that I am going to miss most about the summer… just hangin. Whether it be with our family, or our best friends that we have created such amazing relationships with. It is coming to an end pretty fast as I have explained a bajillion times before, and I'm not really okay with it. I am going to miss being able to go to the hot tub whenever we want, do a little grillin' at the pool, be able to have the exact same schedule as everyone we know, being able to have late night talks and late morning sleep ins with Mr. Warner. But then I try to stay positive. We really have such awesome jobs. We work our complete hardest for as long as is physically possible, and then we get to enjoy ourselves. I love it. I am going to miss the summer time, being able to do what we want when we want. And have control over our own success. It really is the best feeling ever.

BUT then I remember that when things end, it just means great things are going to begin. Like we are just closer to next summer, closer to being able to be in our own home, closer to being able to have little kiddies (you have no idea how bad I want a baby - it's sick), closer to school being done.. all that good stuff.

So now that I will be on a plane home in less than one week, that my summer working days are pretty much over (we will see if I muster some sort of motivation to go out today - I mean we are in Santa Barbara... so there's most likely not a fat chance - More on that later), I am really reflecting on how amazing these past four months have been. How I have grown personally, how Steve has grown personally, how we have grown together. How I know that I am not physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, in any way capable  of getting through everyday, every joyous time, or hardship without the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Or being able to pray at any waking moment of my time. It is an amazing thing, this church I belong to.

I am excited to see my family. I am excited start school, to have so much time on my hands. I am excited to spend time with my nieces and nephews. I am excited for life. For this new chapter in life that we are coming up to.

And I am proud to say that I can 100% close this last chapter and feel successful, and accomplished in every way of life.

Coming up? (sooner or later) our little time with our best people the Hodson's. AND 1 year Anniversary coming up in a few days!! (still have no idea what we are doing).

For now, Enjoy a few looks of our lovely lives as of late.

Gosh my husband is so good looking. Our lives are awesome.

August

Sayyy Whhhattt??

Is it seriously already August? This is like shocker for me. The first week of August is almost over. And I'm actually having a hard time accepting it.

> The summer ends this month

> School starts this month

> I say goodbye to my husband for a month this month

> I get to see my family this month

> I get to drive on the roads in orem and be surrounded by mountain beauty this month

> I am leaving this glorious state that I love so much this month

AND The summer sales season is ending this month

Part of me wants to just soak in the sun these next few weeks and take my time at the pool, take little road trips to the beach, try and search out all of the little thrift shops that I have been wanting to all summer..

and then I'm like wait…

No Sariah..

You need to take advantage of the next three weeks that you have, and make as much mula as possible. I am 16 away from my goal, and I will reach it no matter what it takes. So then I get my head on straight again and say, okay now get in the car and drive to the area.

I think that has been my biggest leap this summer is having incredible amounts of self-discipline. It is so hard for me to just get myself out there, and knock on doors. I have learned more about myself, my needs, my wants, my dreams, my desires, my strengths this summer, more than any other time in my life. And I am so grateful for it. It has no doubt been the hardest thing I've ever done, but yesterday when I was finalizing my school schedule for this fall it dawned on me…

I won't EVER have to work and go to school at the same time AGAIN!!! I want to cry happy tears just thinking about it… I am going to be done with school by two in the afternoon.. two days out of the week I only have one class… and quite frankly I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself. (besides the fact that I am taking 19 credits and that I actually might be busier than I was before because of that).

This summer is already paying off… I am such a lucky girl. For so many reasons.

Here is to finishing off strong, maybe getting a little pool time in, and trying to get my husband to drink nasty tasting protein drinks by the end of the summer. Hooorraaahhh!!

>>Ry

PS. I'm obsessed with "home" stuff. Like all things decorating. I can't wait to have a place to call our own and be able to do whatever I want with it. Yes.
